Welcome to the Red Tent Midwifery doula service! I provide personalized prenatal and labor & birth support to families in southern, Midcoast, and central Maine. I am a DONA-trained doula and a Certified Professional Midwife, with more than 15 years of experience in providing labor support to clients and their families.

Choose from two doula packages:

Welcoming Baby

Includes:

• Free consult visit (virtual)
• Four prenatal visits in your home (within a 45-minute radius of New Gloucester) include support for physical and emotional well-being, childbirth education, discussion of your desires and plans for this birth, listening to baby's heartbeat, and supporting you in identifying your baby's position
  
• Unbiased information and resources on routine options for late pregnancy, birth, and newborn care (GBS testing, therapies for coping with labor, newborn medications, newborn testing)
• Email and phone support throughout pregnancy (after our initial visit)
• On-call availability from 37 weeks pregnancy until birth
• Physical and emotional support throughout labor and birth
• Lactation assistance immediately after birth
• One visit in your home after birth (within the first week after birth)

Nurturing and Empowering

Includes:

• Similar to the package above but includes at least 2 additional prenatal visits and mother-baby care up to 6 weeks after birth. Holistic mother-baby care includes 3 home visits; nutritional/herbal/physical measures for postpartum discomforts and minor issues; emotional support; education on normal newborn and normal maternal healing; well-baby care up to 6 weeks of age; breastfeeding/lactation support; recognition of abnormal signs requiring medical evaluation; phone support up to 6 weeks after birth; and 2 hours of postpartum in-home support (food prep, laundry, childcare, etc.).
